Description

Some games get played once and shelved. Cribbage gets played for fifty years.

This is the long-format board, built to be seen. Solid hardwood, laser engraved with your family name and the year it all started, with a hand-drawn tree along the bottom. Longer and leaner than a standard board, so it reads as much like wall art as it does a game.

It doesn't get put in a drawer. There's a keyhole slot cut into the back, so between games it hangs on the wall like a piece of art. Your name, your year, your tree, on display all year long. The back also has a magnetic strip that holds the metal pegs right on the board, so they never end up lost in a junk drawer.

Choose your wood, and it changes the whole character of the board. Cherry warms and deepens as it ages, so the board you hand down looks richer than the one you bought. Black Walnut runs dark and dramatic, with the engraving cut clean across the grain.

A tree that means something

Along the bottom, a hand-drawn tree engraved into the wood. It stands for whatever you want it to hold: the family that grew, the roots you came from, the place it all started. Drawn by hand, not pulled from a clip-art library, so it reads like art instead of a stock icon.

Milled, not mass-produced

These boards start as rough sawn hardwood from Bass Lake Saw Mill, right here in Ontario. We cut, plane, sand, and finish every one by hand in our workshop. No factory blanks. No MDF with a photo of wood printed on top. Real lumber, milled down the road, built one board at a time.

What's Included

Every board ships with 3 sets of polished metal cribbage pegs (2 pegs per set) in Gold, Silver, and Dark Gray — enough to play right out of the box.
A magnetic strip on the back of the board holds the metal pegs in place between games, so they never end up lost in a junk drawer.
This board is brand new, so the first 3 boards purchased receive 2 sets (4 pegs total) of personalized cribbage pegs on us. Add the name or initials you'd like engraved on them in the notes box when you order. Once the first three are claimed, personalized pegs become a paid add-on.
A playing card deck is not included at this time.

Product Details

Built from scratch out of rough sawn hardwood milled at Bass Lake Saw Mill in Ontario — cut, planed, sanded, and finished by hand. Not painted or stained; the natural colour of the wood is what you see. Choose Cherry or Black Walnut.
Approximately 18" long × 4.5" wide × 1" thick. Each board is made by hand, so measurements may vary slightly.
A hand-drawn tree is engraved along the bottom of the board, beneath your family name and est. year. It can stand for whatever it means to you — family, roots, the place it all started.
Laser engraved for deep, crisp contrast — no paint, no vinyl, nothing to peel or fade. We engrave your family name and est. year exactly as entered, so please double-check spelling before ordering.

We ship across Canada and the USA with tracked delivery. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location.
Because each board is custom engraved, personalized items are final sale. If your item arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right.

Care Instructions

Wipe gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or submerging in water.
Keep in a dry environment away from direct sunlight to preserve the natural wood tone. Cherry in particular will warm and deepen with age.
